You drew your breath there, it was your last one If I could gift you all mine We held your hands and could feel you feel them It was your message of love You were always being so brave When you're really afraid You are no longer but you still linger On this path that you paved You drew your breath there, it was your last one If I could gift you all mine You used to sing songs and now we sing songs It is our message of love You were always being so brave When you're really afraid I hit the floor when you met the door then And you struggled on through You drew your breath there, it was your last one If I could gift you all mine We held your hands and could feel you feel them It was your message of love You were always being so brave When you're really afraid You are no longer but you still linger On this path that you paved

God knows how it started...I used to close my eyes and leave my room. Now ever since we parted I've been swimming in this deja vu under the moon - it was you take two; red yellow blue I could've sworn this thought was overdue -tomorrow I knew and did you feel the dream begin again as you approached the scene? and were you filled with the notion that this was a place you'd already been? Now I know when it's starting cos I can feel the loop click into gear. If the silver clouds are parting then I sense that I will find you here where I saw you next year, in my deja vu sphere; it's us and three tears; I could've sworn that it was four last year ...were you even here? and did you feel the dream begin again as you approached the scene? and were you filled with the notion that this was a place you'd already been? Will you know how to start off? Will you recognise the skin I'm in? How will I know if you're part of all this polycolour repetition? Shall we begin? Wait...that's not what I mean...red yellow green...I could've sworn that was already seen. Now replay the dream. and did you feel the dream begin again as you approached the scene? and were you filled with the notion that this was a place you'd already been?

A tour de force, a tool to force, seasons last an age Space reclined, access denied, all for that saccharine stage You are the queen of trees Turf to course, blown off course, infested with the heath Seems unkind, your state of mind, new cut of teeth You are the queen of trees Burned by men with no qualities Cut off the top to the furthest root Move the blossom, shake the fruit Oh this is for the forest And this is for the woods The arboretum With all the shades of good You are the queen of trees You are the queen of trees Long live the queen of trees Long live the queen of trees

You're the colour, you're the colour of a lion You're the colour, you're the colour of a lion When I think of love I get no further than you So I'll sing these songs to you Oh, that is all I'll do You're the colour, you're the colour of a lion You're the colour, you're the colour of a lion If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be me So I'll swear my life to you Oh, that is all I'll do You're the colour, you're the colour of a lion You're the colour, you're the colour of a lion I held your hand and now I'm a man So I'll swear my life to you For that is what I'll do Oh my love, oh dearest I know you've gone, I know too well But you were my friend, the truest one You're the colour, you're the colour of a lion You're the colour, you're the colour of a lion When I think of love I get no further than you When I think of love I get no further than you

about

For our first ever label compilation we’ve scoured all of our past lineups to put together an exciting, vibrant and patchwork array of tunes from our home in Oxford and beyond. From the stark electronica of The Bobo to the dirge-rock of Chaotic Good, from the frenzied California pop of Pregnant to the poetic folk of The Cooling Pearls, it’s all here, in one conveniently packaged Bandcamp album. If you like something, do investigate further. There are links all over this album - people who have played, lived, toured and collaborated together, yet no two songs sound alike. Some of the projects are still active, some are not, some of the songs are the first songs ever put out by the artist, others are seasoned musical friends with unheard material. There’s a lot to love for the cost of an Oxford pint.

Anything you pay for this record will be split between The Trussell Trust (trusselltrust.org) and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (www.naacpldf.org/about-us/).
